Please Support Lakewood Cemetery!

Why Donate?

The lives of almost 5,000 people are memorialized at Lakewood Cemetery. The graves are spread across 26 acres. Many graves are on terraces that were carved into the steep hillside after the cemetery was established in 1856. Narrow roadways wind among these terraces, and lovely old trees decorate the hillside as well as the grounds bordering Otsego Lake. We owe it to the memory of those buried here and to their loved ones to maintain and preserve this.

We receive no operating funds from any government or church. Our modest fees from lot sales and burials do not cover our costs. We rely on the generosity of donors to help maintain the grounds and honor those buried and memorialized here.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today.
